Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. There is a slight chance that you will have new or increased symptoms of depression, anxiety, hostility, thoughts of suicide, agitation, and hyperactivity. Muscle pain, muscle tenderness, bruising, bleeding, swelling in the hands and feet, dizziness and drowsiness, blurred vision, dry mouth, memory problems, loss of coordination, skin rash, joint pain, constipation, stomach pain, and increased appetite.Drug InteractionLyrica will interact with drugs that cause drowsiness such as: certain antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine), anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam), anti-seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine), medicine for sleep (e.g., sedatives), muscle relaxants, narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine, or tricyclics such as amitriptyline), tranquilizers.

Before You Take Lyrica

What is Lyrica

Lyrica is the brand name of Pfizer Inc for the drug pregabalin. This is used to treat nerve pain, neuropathic pain in diabetics, and postherpetic neuralgia. It is also the first treatment approved by the FDA for fibromyalgia. A schedule V controlled substance, it has done well in double blind studies for use in the 3-6 million people afflicted with fibro.

The Cost

According to a web snapshot of the popular internet drugstore.com pharmacy the cost of Lyrica for 30 capsules are as follows: $72.44 for 25mg, 75mg, and 100mg; and $73.49 for 50mg, 150mg, 200mg, 225mg, and 300mg. Lyrica and Suicide

There is a slight chance that you will have new or increased symptoms of depression, anxiety, hostility, thoughts of suicide, agitation, and hyperactivity.
