Stretching and Chronic Pain

Published by tinasam at 6:49 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Yes I know it hurts to move and we are conditioned to try and take as few bits of movement as possible but this is really a counterproductive attitude. So lets start with some simple stretches. Oh, not today, you’ve done so much and the day is nearly over, but wouldn’t it be nice to roll out of bed and get it over with?

Stretching gently before bed and upon waking could really have long term benefits to your chronic pain. It is simple to start, and you can do as few as necessary, but in a month, two months, a year from now….you’re going to be moving better and that could actually Take Away some pain.

Find out more about chronic pain and exercising and see what you should do and what you shouldn’t do. With just a few little moves from time to time, you may find yourself living with your chronic pain a bit easier. And wouldn’t that make everyone have a little merrier Christmas this year??

I’d love to hear any readers give their favourite exercise and please tell your condition if you feel comfortable with it. I’m just going to start with some stretches and walking, in hopes to working up to yoga and more next year. Baby steps, but they ARE still steps :)
