Chronic Pain Article Roundup

Published by tinasam under Uncategorized Edit This

I’m reading a handful of different blogs at the moment and would like to share some of the best posts I’ve read lately.

ChronicChick’s Speedbumps and MS Awareness : “This morning on Fox and Friends Sunday, Janice Dean (their Weather Woman Extraordinaire) came forward to talk about her life dealing with Multiple Sclerosis. Timed appropriately with the start of Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week, Janice’s Journey began by showing Janice discussing her two and 1/2 years since her diagnosis and a terrific explanation of the disease by an Emory University MD.”

Happy Fibro Family’s Fibro Moments : “Sufferers of fibromyalgia are slower than the general population to respond when asked to recall details. Surprise, surprise… The following link from the Journal of Clinical Rheumatology shows the results of memory recall tests that were administered to fibromyalgia patients.”

IC Disease’s Help for Skin Irritation and Urine Burn: “For many women with Interstitial Cystitis, scented soaps and bubble baths can be a big problem that causes vaginal itching and burning. For some IC patients, like myself, if I soak too long in a tub with scented bubble bath my IC symptoms will flare and I will have terrible bladder pain as well as vaginal pain.”

Anxiety’s Stop Racing Thoughts in their Tracks : “Do you ever experience this? You want to go to sleep, but you can’t because your mind keeps racing and you cannot get it to quiet down? If so, you might want to try one of these things to help put your mind at ease”

Personal Update

Published by tinasam under Uncategorized Edit This

Some will notice that I am not posting here two or three times a day like I was in earlier months. Many things have happened in a short time period.

Professionally: I have landed a couple of very new clients that have helped me lower my workload for a little more money than I was receiving. I’m just getting used to the work (still homebased as I can’t work outside the home), and its been taking some time.

Personally: I’m scheduled to see a Rheumatologist to verify a pending diagnosis of Fibro for me. I’ve struggled a few years with varying tests to find out what is wrong with me and its leading to the coming weeks of it finally being diagnosed. This will be added to the interstitial cystitis diagnosis in 1993. I’ve found myself more tired lately and having more “flare” days where I can’t do much.

I hope that in the coming days that the fibro diagnosis will be done, my body will start to function better again, the brain fog will lift, my fingers and mind will once again start to work, and life will be normal again until the next medical issue takes hold of me.

Thank you all for reading.
