If you are on the morphine drug Kadian, you can qualify to get up to $50 off your copay with their copay assistance card. This offer is valid in all states but Massachusettes and is not a rebate program, it comes off immediately like a coupon. This is also a multiuse card that can be used over and over again. If your pharmacy has issues with the card, their FAQ states:
“My pharmacist is having problems processing the co-pay assistance card claim, what can I do?
Point out the instructions to the pharmacy in processing the co-pay assistance card printed on the back of each KADIAN® co-pay assistance card. There is a telephone number to OPUS Health (800-364-4767) and someone is there to answer questions the pharmacist may have with regard to claims, patient eligibility, or other related issues.”

The first Chronic Pain contest where people sent in entries about pet therapy with chronic pain conditions has completed and been a great success. Chato from Mental Health Humour will have his entry focused at a later date this month when we do a cross posting together.
The Winner was Sarah S. for a poignant story about loss, pain med battles, and pets. A little too much for this blog to post, but I assured Sarah she was the clear winner and I hope she enjoys the Breeze Litter System.
The Runner Up was Charlene Constanzo for her poem, reprinted below:
PURR THERAPY
by Char Costanzo
The calming melody of his purr
Or a soft rubbing of his fur…
Melts away the pain I feel.
And I find, I’m able to deal.
A playful pounce
Or a silly bounce…
No matter my pain,
It begins to wane.
And if I lie awake all night,
I know my buddy will stay til morning light.
The best therapy for me is my pet
For with my cat’s companionship: I’m set!
Thanks for everyone that entered and we will definitely have another one sometime really soon.
