Key Symptoms of Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is common in those that are over 50 yrs of age and may be disabling depending on age and the joint that is affected. This type of arthritis is typically linked to joints giving out but instead may be due to an imbalance of enzymes in the body. The pain of osteoarthritis may come and go but the condition is chronic. People with OA will need to learn coping techniques through journaling, pain medications, and meditation.
Osteoarthritis symptoms include:
-
Redness and warmth and aching in joints
- Swelling and/or bony lumps around the joint with loss of flexibility
- Discomfort due to weather changes
- Joint hurts after any usage

I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis this past winter and I’m only 37. It was a bummer, but my mom was diagnosed in her 20’s so I couldn’t complain too much. And considering all the thigs that could have been wrong, I felt I got off lucky. Interesting to read about the enzymes!
